Our Learning

Claire Bears ensures we assist all children attending the setting to attain their maximum potential within their perceived capabilities in line with the Development Matters framework. An individual record of every child’s development is maintained, showing their abilities, progress rate, and areas of next steps.
Currently, Claire Bears is using an app called Baby Days that allow the staff to easily track children’s progress. Staff can upload photos, videos, audio clips, and written observations. Parents also have access to their child’s observations and can actively add observations from home.

Activities in all rooms will be planned following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This practice guidance is set out with 7 learning areas: Communication & Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social & Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, & Expressive Arts and Design.

Claire Bears also encourages parents to be a part of their children’s learning and development by adding their children’s interests from home and any activities that they would like staff to introduce to their children within the setting.
