Our Fees
Funding Information
We offer government-funded childcare places for children aged 2, 3, and 4 years. Children become eligible for funding from the term following their birthday.
- Two-year-olds: Parents must apply through their local Children’s Centre to obtain an eligibility code.
- Three- and four-year-olds: All children are entitled to 30 funded hours per week, subject to eligibility. To confirm your entitlement and apply, please visit: www.gov.uk/30hoursfunding.
Please note:
- Funded hours are available from 9:30am to 12:30pm (for 15-hour places) and 9:30am to 3:30pm (for 30-hour places).
- Funded hours are not transferable, and any hours outside of these times will be charged at our standard rate.
Private Childcare
In addition to funded places, we also offer private childcare for children from 7:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.

- We offer a 10% discount on private childcare fees for NHS workers (proof of employment required).
Payments
All fees must be paid on or before the 1st of each month to avoid a late payment charge of £20 per day.
If you are using Childcare Choices or Tax-Free Childcare, please ensure payment is made around the 24th–25th of each month so that it reaches us by the 1st.
Terms and Conditions
- A non-refundable registration fee of £50 is required to secure your child’s place at Claire Bears Nursery.
- A minimum attendance of two full days per week is required.
- Fees are inclusive of all meals and baby formula.
- Fees are calculated over 52 weeks per year and are to be paid monthly in advance.
- A £20 late payment fee per day applies to overdue accounts.
- Claire Bears Nursery is closed on all public bank holidays.
- A refundable deposit of £250 is payable when a place is booked. This will be returned on your child’s final day, provided:
- One full calendar month’s written notice has been given, and the account is fully up to date.
